John Rucynski has co-authored three textbooks for university English courses in Japan and edited two books on humour in language education. In this interview, he discusses how he got involved in publishing, stresses the benefits of collaboration, debunks (hopefully!) myths about humour in the classroom, and explains how the Grateful Dead inspired his teaching philosophy.
